Supreme will release collaboration with British heritage brand Barbour. Barbour is a fifth generation family-owned British lifestyle brand. Started in 1894 in South Shields in the North East of England when founder John Barbour began supplying oilskins and other garments to protect the growing community of sailors, fishermen and dockers. In the 1980s, Dame Margaret designed the three wax cotton jackets that made Barbour globally known – the Bedale, the Beaufort and the Border. The Bedale was originally designed as an equestrian jacket, the shorter length was ideal when riding and the rear vents in the jacket made it easy to wear in the saddle. For Spring, Supreme has worked with Barbour on a collection including a Lightweight Waxed Cotton Field Jacket inspired by the Bedale. Made exclusively for Supreme, the collection also consists of a Waxed Cotton Waist Bag, Waxed Cotton Crusher and Waxed Cotton Camp Cap. This collaboration will be available online only May 7th. Available in Japan online only May 9th.
