MONCLERが、Stone Islandを展開するSPORTSWEAR COMPANY S.p.A.社を買収すると発表した。買収は、現金と株式による取引で、評価額は11億5000万ユーロ(約1450億円)。MONCLERは、今回の買収でアメリカ、アジア市場売上拡大を狙うようだ。買収は2段階に分けて行われ、まずはクリエイティブディレクター兼オーナーのCarlo Rivettiから約50%の株式、家族から19.9%の株式を購入。その後、株式の3割を保有しているシンガポールのTemasek.から株式を買い取り全株式を保有するようだ。同取引は、2021年上半期中に完了させるようだ。

 

MONCLER announced that it will acquire SPORTS WEAR COMPANY S.p.A., which develops Stone Island. The acquisition is a cash and stock transaction with a valuation of 1.15 billion euros (approximately 145 billion yen).MONCLER seems to aim to expand sales in the US and Asian markets with this acquisition. The acquisition is a two-step process, first buying about 50% stake from creative director and owner Carlo Rivetti and 19.9% stake from family. After that, it seems that it will buy shares from Temasek. In Singapore, which holds 30% of the shares, and hold all the shares.The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2021.
